Join us for a weekend inspired by "Hygge" - the Danish cultural concept and value of warmth, happy coziness, and togetherness.
We will immerse ourselves in "comfortable conviviality", with an array of organized and self-guided activities designed to provoke tranquility, friendship, laughter, security and relaxation.

We will use this weekend investigate our relationship with ourselves, and ways in which we create sacred space - in not only the outside world, but in the mind and body.

- Local Artist Activities: Get artsy and use natural elements from outside to create guided Northwoods crafts

Self-Guided Activities:
- Fat Tire Biking (rentals can be arranged).
- Snowshoeing local trails.
- Cross country/skate skiing- many trail systems available in close proximity.

- Weekend Pass to enjoy the Manitowish Waters Athletic Center (fitness equipment, pool, hot tub, and sauna)

Friday March 3rd:
All activities are optional. Once you reserve your space, we will contact you by email to get an idea of your interests.
4:00PM-5:00PM:
- Check-in: Rest Lake Lodge at Camp Jorn. Drive past Main Lodge, first housing unit to the left- Signs/lights will show the way.
- Relax, connect with others or enjoy local attractions: walk paved trails, visit The MAC, Discovery Center, or Winman Trails.
5:15PM-6:15PM:
- Stretch into a relaxing and restorative Yin Yoga/Guided Meditation
6:30PM:
- Welcome! Homemade Dinner & Wine Tasting
7:30PM:
- Group journal prompt, "Sacred Space" guided workshop
8:00 PM:
Cozy in for a Northwoods Hygge Art project
Saturday, March 4th

- Breakfast! Help yourself (coffee/juice, Kringle, oatmeal and yogurt bar, local bread & jam, fruit, hard boiled eggs)

- Meditation- all level warm yoga, poolside at the MAC

- Have fun connecting with others and making Danish bonfire bread also known as Twisted bread (Snobrød). This bread is a perfect way of inspiring Nordic hygge.

- Sunday Funday Ski- Stick around and ski through snow-capped trees with Jenna on one of WinMan's winding ski trails. WinMan trails encompasses 1,300 acres of scenic maple forests within the Winegar moraine, a geological feature left behind by the last glacial period 10,000 years ago.
The trail we will traverse will be easy in ability level, and approximately 2 miles in length.

- What is Hygge?
- Hygge is a Danish lifestyle concept that promotes comfort, warmth, and light. It can be summed up as a "coziness of the soul." While you can Hygge at any time of year, it is especially connected with fall and winter. Rather than resisting winter, Hygge invites us to lean into it through comfortable clothing, soft lighting, warm foods, and connecting with your friends or yourself.
- Can I rent skiis, snowshoes or a fat tire bike? We work with Rivers Edge Outfitters, www.riversedgemw.com
- What type of food will we be eating?
- Conscious homemade comfort food! We love to source as local as possible. We ask everyone before making the menu about their preferences, allergies, etc.

- What happens if I sign up and can't make it anymore?
- If you cancel 30 days prior, you will receive a full refund. After 30 days, if you are unable to make it to the retreat, you can transfer your spot to a friend or loved one. If it is last minute that you cannot make it, 50% of your payment will be turned into credit to use with us at a later date.
- Can I bring alcohol to this event?
- Every event is different. We will be offering wine tasting at dinner. You may bring a beverage of your choice to relax with.
